On Saturday 7 November 2026, all 17 LCentral centres are holding activities and events for Islandwide Discovery Day, open to families whose children are moving up to N1 to P6 in 2027. You can speak with an English Specialist about your child's needs, discover the right programme for 2027 and, where available, experience an LCentral class. Contact your preferred centre to find out what it is offering and to book a slot.

A new school year brings a new stage in your child's learning, and the easiest time to plan for it is before it starts. Discovery Day is designed to make that planning practical and low-pressure.

Start Strong in 2027: LCentral Islandwide Discovery Day on Saturday 7 November 2026 at 17 centres islandwide

What can families do at Discovery Day?

The experience varies a little by centre, but it is built around three things:

  • Speak with our English Specialists about how your child is doing in English and what the next level will ask of them. If your child is in primary school, you are welcome to bring their report card or recent schoolwork. It is entirely optional.

  • Discover the right LCentral programme for the level your child is entering in 2027, and get guidance on their next learning step.

  • Experience a suitable LCentral class or centre activity, where available, so you can see the learning approach for yourself.

Who is Discovery Day for?

Discovery Day is for new families with a child moving up to N1 to P6 in 2027 who would like to understand which LCentral programme is right for their child.

  • Preschool (moving up to N1 to K2): See how we help young learners take their first steps towards confident reading, from phonics and high-frequency words to listening, speaking and understanding stories.

  • Primary (moving up to P2 to P5): Discover how we help children build stronger English skills as they progress through primary school, from understanding what they read to expressing and explaining their ideas with confidence.

  • Moving up to P6: Explore how our PSLE Success programme helps your child prepare for the demands of the PSLE year, with focused development across key English skills and components.

Parents can also speak with our English Specialists about their child's needs and get guidance on the most suitable programme and next step for 2027.

Do children need an assessment?

New students entering K2 or P1 complete an assessment before class placement. Eligible new students at P2 and above may trial the next class level, subject to the centre's availability. Your centre will confirm what applies to your child.

How do I book?

Each centre runs its own activities and timings on the day.

  1. Visit Our Locations and choose your preferred centre.

  2. WhatsApp the centre to ask about its Discovery Day activities, timings and registration.

  3. Let them know your child's level in 2027, and what you would most like to explore.

Slots are limited, so it is worth contacting your centre early.

Can't make 7 November?

If you would like to know how your child is getting on in English, book a free English assessment with one of our English Specialists. You will come away with a clear view of your child's strengths, the areas worth building on and a suitable next step.
