About the Event
The Global English Language Olympiad of Southeast Asia is an international English competition designed for students from Kindergarten to Senior Secondary levels.
The Olympiad assesses English proficiency through reading comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, analogy, and writing tasks, encouraging students to think critically and apply language skills beyond school based assessments.
This marks the first time the Global English Language Olympiad of Southeast Asia is officially conducted in Singapore, with LCentral jointly leading the event in collaboration with GELOSEA and supported by Flying Cape.
Why Participate
Participating in an international Olympiad provides students with valuable exposure beyond regular classroom learning.
Students build confidence, resilience, and a global mindset by benchmarking themselves against peers from different regions. Regardless of the final result, the experience strengthens critical thinking skills and supports long term personal growth.

Kindergarten 2 to Primary 5
Participation in the Singapore and China National Round, inclusive of one preparation training session conducted by LCentral.

Singapore and China National Round: 28 February 2026
International Round (Downtown East, D’Marquee): 5 to 8 April 2026
Selection for the International Round is based on results from the National Round. Separate registration and event fees apply for the International Round.
The Singapore and China National Round will be conducted at selected LCentral centres, including Buona Vista and Downtown East. Official competition centres will be clearly marked closer to the event date.
